    The allowance is added to your draft to get the water you need (river low + tide). The default 2'4" turns a 5'8" draft into 8 ft at the marina entrance. Lower it for less margin, raise it for more.

Wind forecast comes from Open-Meteo for the channel north of Hayden Island: high-resolution HRRR for roughly the first two days, then coarser global models, so treat days 3 to 7 as a trend rather than a promise. Current wind is the NWS observation at Portland airport plus the NOAA Vancouver PORTS sensor when it reports. The expected tide line adds the recent gap between measured and predicted levels to NOAA's prediction, which works well when the river is steady and drifts when Bonneville releases change.
